India Post GDS Result 2025 Out: Check Merit List, Cut-off & Next Steps!

India Post has announced the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Result 2025, releasing the merit list for 21,413 positions across various states. Candidates can access the merit list on the official website: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Understanding the Merit List

The selection process for GDS positions is based on a system-generated merit list derived from candidates' Class 10 (Secondary School Examination) marks. No weightage is given to higher educational qualifications. The percentage is calculated to four decimal places to ensure precision.

Steps to Check the Merit List

1)Visit the Official Website: Go to indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

2)Access the Merit List: Click on the link corresponding to your state's merit list.

3)Download the PDF: The merit list is available in PDF format. Download and open the file.

4)Search for Your Name: Use the search function (Ctrl + F) to find your name or registration number.

Post-Merit List Procedures

Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will undergo the following steps:

1)Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates must appear for DV to confirm their eligibility. They should carry original documents, including educational certificates, identity proof, and other relevant credentials.

2)Medical Examination: After successful DV, candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the health standards required for the role.

3)Final Appointment: Upon clearing the above stages, candidates will receive appointment letters and commence their roles as Gramin Dak Sevaks.
