Vivo X300 Series India Launch on 2 December 2025: 200MP ZEISS Camera, Features & Details
Vivo has launched a microsite for the upcoming V50, confirming key details about its design, camera, battery, and more. The Chinese smartphone brand has been teasing the V50 for a while, and the microsite suggests that the launch is just around the corner. Along with hinting at an imminent release, the page also reveals some confirmed specifications of the device. Here’s what we know so far.
Vivo's V series is known for its slim design, and the upcoming V50 continues this trend. Vivo claims that the V50 will be India's slimmest phone to feature a 6000mAh battery. It will be available in three colors: Rose Red, Titanium Grey, and Starry Blue. Notably, the Starry Blue variant will introduce India's first 3D-star technology in a smartphone.
The V50 is also confirmed to have IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with Schott Diamond Shield Glass for improved durability and drop protection. This added protection will be useful, especially since the phone appears to feature a quad-curved display.
Vivo's V series has always emphasized camera performance, and the V50 continues this tradition. Following the V40 series, which introduced ZEISS-branded cameras, the V50 will also feature ZEISS optics. Vivo has confirmed that the phone will have dual rear cameras co-engineered with ZEISS, including a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Additionally, the front camera will also be a 50MP ZEISS-branded sensor.
The rear cameras will support portrait shots at 23mm, 35mm, and 50mm focal lengths, and the device will include Vivo's signature ‘Aura Light’ flash. Furthermore, the V50 will feature Vivo’s specialized color tuning for wedding portraits, designed specifically for the Indian market.
Although Vivo has not officially revealed the chipset powering the V50, reports suggest it could feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. Vivo has claimed that the device will offer smooth performance for five years, which might indicate four years of Android updates and five years of security patches. However, the exact update policy will be confirmed at launch.
Additionally, Vivo has confirmed that the V50 will include AI-powered features such as Gemini, Circle to Search, AI transcript, and live call translation, enhancing the overall user experience.
Although Vivo has not officially announced the launch date, rumors suggest that the V50 could be unveiled on February 18. As for pricing, the Vivo V50 is expected to be priced under ₹40,000. For reference, last year’s Vivo V40 debuted in India at ₹34,999.
It seems that Vivo will not be launching a V50 Pro this time, breaking the trend of previous V series iterations that typically included both a standard and a Pro model.
