The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 is a flagship innovation event launched by the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, and AICTE.
It aims to inspire school students across India to build practical, tech-driven solutions aligned with the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision — a blueprint for a self-reliant and digitally empowered India.
Launched on 23 September 2025, the Buildathon targets over 1 crore students from 1.5 lakh+ schools, promoting creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills among the youth.
The event encourages students from Classes VI to XII to brainstorm and develop innovative ideas that solve local and national challenges.
Through mentorship, hands-on learning, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies, students will cultivate the skills necessary for India's transformation into a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
Participants can submit ideas or prototypes under four core national themes:
